Roommate flies for a commercial airline...he was following a plane into LGA the other day, and that plane was on the mic checking into the tower, and just like screamed "OH FUCK WE HIT A BIRD". Then came back on and apologized for screaming it on the mic, since he didn't click off. Bird strikes can be pretty loud in the cockpit.
